A Baby Blanket

I've wanted to buy baby girl a special quilt or blanket that she can cherish as she grows older. I wish I can say that I can sew a quilt myself, but alas, I'm not near that point yet. So, I found a wonderful artist who creates beautiful pieces using the most incredible textiles. I completely fell in love with this pattern and color. And I know my baby will, too.

A Simple Snack

Fresh apricots found their way into my fruit basket this week and I couldn't be happier. Greek yogurt topped with these fuzzy little orbs and a drizzle of raw honey was the perfect snack for this (always) hungry pregnant mama.

Vintage Baby Girl Clothes

The more I think about being a mother to a little girl, the more excited I become. While I would never consider myself to be a girly girl, I'm certainly looking forward to all the fun that goes along with having a girl. From dressing her in adorable vintage clothes to showing her what various flowers smell like to baking cookies and painting nails, I can't wait for it all. I also am looking forward to allowing her to have the freedom to be who she truly wants to be, and whether that means being a princess or being an astronaut, I'll support her in every way. Here are a few of my favorite outfits that I've picked up or received as gifts for my little one.

A Nursery

I'm getting ready for my little girl to enter the world. I'm trying to create a simple, peaceful space for her to dream, play, and imagine. I hope we make many memories in this room.

Motherhood

In just a few short weeks, I will be a mother to a sweet little girl. I've been dreaming of being a mother for my entire life and now I can't believe how close I am to it becoming my reality. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't absolutely terrified of the whole idea, but at the same time, I'm incredibly excited. My pregnancy has been a beautiful time of seeing my body grow and nurture this life inside of me. It's also been an uncomfortable time. But I believe I've done my best to treat it well while it creates this perfect little being. 

I love this little girl with all my heart and I can't wait to meet her.
